- He had been instructed in the way of the Lord
- taught about Jesus accurately
“knowledge puffs up while love builds up.” (1 Corinthians 8:1 NIV11)

- His humility led him to listen to ‘lesser’ people
- His humility led him to change his opinion, and teaching
