We visited the Titus Tunnel, also known as the Titus Flavius Vespasianus Tunnel. It is an ancient Roman tunnel located near ancient Antioch in modern-day Turkey. It was commissioned by the Roman Emperor Vespasian (reigned AD 69-79) and was completed by his son Titus in AD 81. The tunnel was built as part of a broader engineering project to divert water and protect the harbour of Seleucia Pieria, the port of the ancient city of Antioch, from silting.
