I’ve recently started using Haiku. Have a look if you like, but today I wanted to embed one of their presentations because it connects to something dear to my heart as a speaker – and a listener. Too often I hear presentations, sermon or other talks that give a list of numbers or other information, when what I need is a story.

Tell me facts and I will be better informed – but only briefly, because I will soon forget them. Give me a human story and I will be inspired. Inspiration lasts far longer. Think about it, how many numbers did Jesus use compared with the number of stories he told?
My appeal to all speakers is to tell more stories – your listeners will thank you, but even more important, you will be more likely to achieve your aim.
