““Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip.”
(John 1:46 NIV11)
- Scepticism is a natural perspective
- Why should this year be any different from any other?
- Why should this church have anything to offer me?
- Why should this service matter?
- People need leading into faith
- People need help to ’see’ things clearly
- To see Jesus clearly
- Who he really is
- We are the people who say, “Come and see”
“When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.” Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.””
(John 1:47–49 NIV11)
This is our hope this morning, that people will recognise Jesus as “Son of God…king of Israel”
“Come and see….”
Let’s pray……
